As a Supermodel, it’s not easy keeping your privacy. However Mia Crowe has been able to have an internationally successful career in virtual anonymity, while foregoing the diva attitude for a great sense of humor. You can’t turn on the television or flip through a magazine anywhere in the world, without seeing Mia’s famous hands in advertisements for everything from Burger King, Oil Of Olay and Crest Toothpaste to Sky Vodka, Dove Soap, and Dunkin’ Donuts. Currently, you can see Mia’s talented hands in commercials doing everything from spreading Philadelphia Cream Cheese on a bagel and twisting open Oreo cookies to pouring test tubes of blue dye onto Tampax feminine pads to test for absorbency.

Based in Hollywood, California, Mia got her start as a hand model while she was working as an actress on a television commercial. When she noticed that the director was interviewing several white-gloved women to hand model for his next commercial, she stuck out her hands to be judged along side the veteran hand models. Mia was hired on the spot, and her career as a hand model was born. (Little did she know that she’d have to shoot the job underwater in a swimming pool for 3 days, and it would be one of her most difficult jobs to date!)

From commercials airing around the world to ad campaigns in publications such as SELF MAGAZINE, MADEMOISELLE, ESQUIRE, and the NEW YORK TIMES, Mia is booked for ad campaigns based on her sparkling reputation. Mia’s skills and impeccable timing have earned her the reputation as a valuable talent who can save the production time and therefore thousands of dollars in production costs. Whether it is working 8-14 hour days or swooping in to do one shot for 15 minutes, Mia commands fees upwards of $25,000 depending on the job.

A self professed beauty product junkie, Mia is constantly searching out new products to keep her skin, nails, hands and feet in perfect, camera ready condition. She is interested in spokesmodel endorsements for beauty products such as lotions, nailpolish, make up, soap, sunscreen, dayspas, nail salons, professional nail lines, shoes, and jewelry. Mia is also the top foot model, modeling shoes for some of the top companies in the world.

Mia has hand modeled in over 5000 commercials, print campaigns, and editorials to date. She has been the hands for such celebrities as Penelope Cruz (Lux), Jennifer Aniston (L’Oreal), Molly Simms (Covergirl), and Cindy Crawford (Yoplait Yogurt). You can see Mia’s hands in French Loreal Commericals, British Beer ads, Japanese Lux Commercials, Korean Hyundai car commercials, and other commercials around the world. Mia has worked with the top directors and photographers in the Hollywood, including Mathew Ralston, Dewey Nicks, and the late Herb Ritts.

Mia believes that other hand models who wear gloves are a bit eccentric and says, “You don’t see models like Giselle Bunchen or Tyra Banks covering their faces so I don’t thinks it’s necessary to cover my hands. I live my life like everybody else, and I love working in the garden.” Mia is a successful comedic actress, television host, voiceover artist, producer and writer. She sold a television show pilot, is a producer for the top concert DVD series, and was a series regular traveling to a different city every week on TNN’s wildly popular television series POP ACROSS AMERICA.

Mia is currently finishing a book about her life working as a hand model that she plans to pitch as a television show. Mia considers herself a comedic actress and continues working as an actress in film, television, commercials and voice-overs and is appearing in 3 movies in 2005.
